The Paw-Spective Experience is a one-hour Free Work session. Each session welcomes two caregivers and their canine companions, with each dog enjoying their own individual Free Work time within the hour.

These sessions need to be booked in advance. You can book as many as you would like on different Sundays. This may be to have quality time with your dog, for your dog to be observed before joining a group or one-to-one session with Four Paws Training Academy or Canine Vibe, or to have a video taken for evidence for your vet, physiotherapist or canine professional. Freework is a magical experience for you and your dog companion, and it can also tell us a lot about your dog's mental and physical wellbeing.

This is a privilege — a wonderful opportunity to watch, learn, and be guided by our incredible dog tutors. It offers a chance to connect with your dog in a calm, peaceful way that helps them to rebalance and reset. These sessions are open to all caregivers and their canine companions.

Free Work was developed by the wonderful canine companions of Sarah Fisher, founder of ACE (Animal Centred Education) at Tilley Farm, Bath. Sarah is a true inspiration to all of us at Four Paws, and we continue to learn and grow through the ACE modules, with our companions as our tutors every step of the way.

During the session, each dog will take a turn as our tutor. While one dog explores, the other will rest comfortably in your car until it’s their turn. You’re welcome to stay with your dog or check on them at any time for comfort, toileting, or a leg stretch. Our car park will be secure and locked throughout.
If your dog isn't comfortable staying in the car, please speak with us before booking.

Both caregivers will observe the dogs exploring the Free Work stations, paying attention to posture, movement, preferences, and habits. You’ll be encouraged to connect with your dog through calm, slow actions. By simply observing, you'll start to see how small adjustments can support your dog’s movement, well-being, and overall confidence.

Each station will involve sensory elements — sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste — to offer a rich, enriching experience. Between sessions, your dog will rest comfortably in your vehicle.
A wide variety of Free Work equipment will be available on the day, but you’re very welcome to bring your own favourites too. We’ll help you set up your stations and guide you throughout your experience.
Before the session, you’ll receive a booklet packed with helpful information about Free Work, what to bring on the day, the equipment we’ll be using, basic canine decompression information, and what behaviours you might observe.
After your session, you’ll receive a video of your dog’s time with us, along with personalised feedback and advice if needed, helping you continue your connection and learning long after the day.

Fee - £25, Available every Sunday at 1pm. Held at Littlethorpe Scouts Building.
