Welcoming a Puppy or Rescue

New Dog and Puppy Preparation Support
This service offers a minimum of four one-hour sessions, tailored to you and your dog’s individual needs.

 

I advise all potential new caregivers to contact me as soon as you have decided to adopt or take on a puppy. There can be a wait of a month before I am available to help. 
I recommend booking at least one session before your new dog or puppy comes home, with the others spread out during their first 10 weeks with you.

I'm Rescuing

Here’s how I can support you:

• Visiting your rescue dog at their rescue centre or foster home (where possible).

• Planning your dog’s transition into their new home environment.

• Advising on home management and safety setup.

• Supporting decompression during the first critical days.

• Guiding the first steps towards relationship building and trust.

• Advice on house training, early socialisation, and future training needs.

I'm Getting a Puppy

Here’s how I can help you prepare:

• Support with getting your home ready before your puppy arrives.

• Honest advice about what you need (and what you don't!), helping you avoid gimmicks and unnecessary purchases.

• Home management tips for a calm and safe environment.

• Helping your puppy decompress and settle in the first few days and weeks.

• Guidance on early relationship building, home training, and first steps towards socialisation.

Whichever path you’re on, my goal is to support you and your new companion with a positive, thoughtful start, laying the foundations for a lifetime of trust and understanding.

All the learning is supported with eBooks and Videos, with a private What's App group. Please note mileage charges may apply.

 

The next step will be to start Discovery School One to One sessions or our Discovery School group to further your training.
